Out-of-warranty service

Repairs are considered out of warranty when:

  • Your Apple TV is over one year old
  • Your Apple TV has an issue that’s not covered under warranty or consumer law, like accidental damage or unauthorized modifications

We charge for out-of-warranty service.  If we find an issue with your Apple TV, we might be able to fix it or replace it with an Apple TV that’s new or equivalent to new in both performance and reliability. Contact your service representative for details.

Battery service for your remote

Apple TV 4K and Apple TV (4th generation) include a remote with a rechargeable battery. If your battery has a manufacturing defect and it's covered by the Apple Limited Warranty, an AppleCare plan, or consumer law, we'll service it at no additional cost. Our warranty doesn’t cover batteries that wear down from normal use.

We might need to test your accessory to find the cause of your battery issue. If your Siri Remote isn't covered, we can service or replace it for a fee.

You get an additional benefit if you have an AppleCare plan. If your battery can hold less than 80 percent of its original capacity and it's covered by your AppleCare plan, we'll service your accessory at no charge.
